East Blue Valley Apartments for Rent

Just over 10 minutes east of downtown Kansas City, Missouri, is the neighborhood of East Blue Valley. A mix of residential, commercial, and industrial real estate, this community is bounded by East 12th Street and East Truman Road on the north and Belmont Avenue on the west. Its eastern boundary is created by Winchester Avenue and the railroad tracks, and on the south it extends to East 17th Street, East 18th Street, and a local waterway. Interstate 435 runs past the neighborhood on the east and intersects with I-70 a few miles to the south.

Situated in the 64126 zip code, East Blue Valley is part of Jackson County. Neighboring communities include Sheffield, West Blue Valley, Central Blue Valley/Park Tower Garde, and Blue Valley Industrial. Much of the community is devoted to single-family homes on shaded lots, but East Truman Road, which traverses the community from west to east, hosts several commercial buildings. An industrial area can be found in the southeast portion of the community, along the railroad tracks.

Residents of this neighborhood are within walking distance of several parks. Located just outside of neighborhood bounds to the north, Sheffield Park is a small neighborhood park that offers several playing fields, tennis courts, picnic areas, and a walking path. About a half-mile south of this community is a larger outdoor attraction known as Blue Valley Park. Much of this park is open green space and wooded areas, but it also holds a lake, playing fields, and playground.

These are just a few of the attractions near East Blue Valley. The Kansas City VA Medical Center; Rockwood Country Club; Arrowhead Stadium (home of the NFL Kansas City Chiefs); and Kauffman Stadium (home of the MBL Kansas City Royals) are all within five miles of this community as well.
