This home has been restored with many period pieces that provide it with a great deal of authenticity although most of the items in the home were never actually owned by the President himself. The home provides a great look into what a farm home looked like many years ago.

Near the Harry S Truman farm home is US Highway 71. Along this stretch of road is where much of the major retail shopping can be done. While the area isn’t substantial it does provide a decent variety of major brand name retailers such as Dollar Tree, CVS Pharmacy, Radio Shack, Payless Shoe Source, and Sam’s Club. The area is also a popular place for restaurants with several big name quick service options such as Mcdonald’s and Arby’s along with a moderate variety of casual dining as well. Overall the area provides a solid mix of day to day goods, services, and foods.
