Armour Fields Apartments for Rent
Armour Fields is in Kansas City, Missouri, but just barely. It’s a block from the Kansas state line. The boundaries are West 63rd Street to the north, West Gregory Boulevard to the south, Wornall Road to the east, and Ward Parkway to the west.
The homes in Armour Fields are spectacular. Quality residences built in the 1950s and 1960s, the neighborhood’s large homes come at a justifiably premium price. Wide lanes, mature trees, and sidewalks everywhere make it easy to get around on foot or on a bike.
Golf enthusiasts have a lot of options for 18 holes on a weekend at Armour Fields. Swope Memorial Golf Course is open to the public and is the only Kansas City course that has hosted a PGA event. A few minutes south of Swope is Turner Golf Club. Oakwood Golf Club is a private club with beautiful grounds and facilities. Many people use this club as the backdrop to a wedding or reception.
Need a place to spend a day with the kids? Armour Hills is 10 minutes away from Swope Park, one of the 219 parks and green spaces that are part of the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department. The Kansas City Zoo is on the grounds of Swope Park, as is the Starlight Theatre, one of the last producing outdoor theaters in the country. The Kansas City Wizards have a soccer practice field in the park. The Lakeside Nature Center, also located in Swope Park, has events and educational programs year round. The park also has a four-mile mountain bike trail, a two-mile exercise trail, soccer fields, baseball fields, picnic areas, and more.
The Armour Hills community is convenient to all pro sports. The NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs play on any given Sunday in Arrowhead Park. In the summer, you can catch the Kansas City Royals across the parking lot from Arrowhead at Kauffman Field.
