The city of Troy, Michigan – a suburb of Detroit – ranks as the 11th-largest city in the state by population, and the largest city within its home of Oakland County. Troy has become a major commercial destination in the Metro Detroit area.

D. Power and Associates, Kelly Services, the Kresge Foundation, SAE International and Ziebart.

The city boasts exemplary schools; the Troy School District has a 99 percent graduation rate, with 95 percent of those students going on to higher education and two percent going on to military service. Both Troy High School and Athens High School were named to the list of The 1000 Most Outstanding High Schools in the United States by Newsweek magazine.
