Standiford is a community in southeast Louisville, Kentucky, within Jefferson County. It is situated approximately eight miles (or 13 minutes) from the heart of the downtown area. This community is immediately adjacent to the Louisville International Airport on the east. It consists of just a few streets west of Interstate 65, including Standiford Lane and Twin Spires Lane. Standiford is in the 40213 zip code area. Area communities include Lynnview and Edgewood.

This community is the home of the Air National Guard Recruiting office and several other airport-affiliated buildings, and no residences can be found here. Immediately east of Standiford, on the other side of the interstate and Preston Highway, is a large cemetery – Evergreen Cemetery. Nearby Preston Highway also hosts a variety of commercial offerings, including several lodging options that one would expect so close to an international airport. Also on Preston Highway, within walking distance of Standiford, is the Louisville Male High School.

Although the Standiford community isn’t residential, there are still plenty of residential areas nearby. Residents of these area communities enjoy close proximity to a variety of amenities, most of which can be found north of nearby Interstate 264. The Louisville Zoo on Trevilian Way is a popular and affordable destination for area families and school children, who enjoy the animal exhibits and educational programs.

The Audubon Country Club is situated just west of the zoo, and several community parks and medical centers can also be found in this area. Higher education options just a few miles north of Standiford include Bellarmine College and the University of Louisville.
