The museum features collections of more than 33,000 pieces of art, with new exhibits being added throughout the year. Some of genres include American Art, American Indian, Chinese, European, Japanese, Modern and Contemporary, along with many other exhibits. The Nelson-Atkins Museum also offers a full-scale restaurant in the middle of the museum, allowing visitors to enjoy some lunch during their outing.
