Golfers can choose from a number of nearby courses, including the 18-hole Hunter Golf Course and Windsor Forest Golf Course, a private course. Parks close to Nicholsville include J.F. Gregory City Park, which has walking and cycling trails and a picnic area, and Skidaway Island State Park, which is known for its trails that wind through maritime forests and salt marshes. The park is a good place to spot wildlife such as fiddler crabs, migrating birds, and raccoons.
