A seasonal Farmer’s Market is held here and its scenic landscapes are a favored backdrop for local bridal party pictures. The city provides several areas with free Wi-Fi, including the south end of the park and at the Forsyth Fort Cafe.

Four blocks north of Forsyth Park is the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Founded in 1978, SCAD offers degree programs in more than 35 areas including architecture, art history, graphic design, performing arts, and writing.
