East Savannah Apartments for Rent

East Savannah is a large neighborhood of modest homes that is located inside the 31404 zip code. Bordered on the west side by Pennsylvania Avenue and Long Avenue, and on the north side by Iowa Street, it has no street borders on the other two sides.

There are two churches—St. Mary’s Ame Church and First African Baptist Church—conveniently located within the East Savannah neighborhood.

East Savannah is a short distance to the east of Truman Parkway, and residents are close to several shopping areas. One of these is located a short distance to the north, off of East President Drive.

South of East Savannah at Truman Parkway and East Victory Drive there are four shopping centers that house three large supermarkets and stores like Home Depot, Target, and Staples. There are also several drug stores and a wide variety of restaurants. In this general area, there are a variety of small businesses and medical services as well.

Avondale Park is the closest park to East Savannah. It has a playground, a picnic area, a spray pool where the children can cool off on hot days, and an athletic field.

Daffin Park to the southwest is the home of Grayson Stadium where the Sand Gnats, a minor-league baseball team, play home games. The park’s amenities include basketball courts, athletic fields, tennis courts, a volleyball court, a playground, a swimming pool, a picnic area, a lake, and a walking trail.

The Cosmetology Institute of Hair Design is a short distance to the southwest, and the Savannah Golf Club is to the northwest off of East President Street.
