The primarily single-family residential neighborhood of Cann Park is located four miles west of the East Bay Street historic district and Emmet Park. It is bounded by Hopkins, West 48th, and Montgomery Streets and West Victory Drive. A walkable community, Cann Park is also advantageously situated for commuter connections. US Highway 80 (State Route 26/West Victory Drive) runs through the neighborhood, and the intersection with the Interstate-516 loop is less than five minutes away. The Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport, located in the northwest section of the city, is a 20-minute drive.

Recreational opportunities abound in the community. Cann Park—which features basketball courts, a baseball field, a picnic shelter, and a children’s playground—is one of two city-owned parks in the neighborhood. Myers Park, a passive park located near US Highway 80, is available for rental for special events.

Baseball fans will appreciate the neighborhood’s proximity to Grayson Stadium, just three miles east along Victory Drive. It is home of the Savannah Sand Gnats, a minor league affiliate of the New York Mets and a member of the South Atlantic League. Daffin Park, one of the larger active recreation areas in Savannah, is located next to the stadium and features a basketball court, tennis and volleyball courts, a swimming pool, a walking trail, and a picnic area lake/pavilion, and a playground.

Cann Park kids attend Hodge Elementary, De Renne Middle, and Alfred Ely Beach High, all of which are within walking distance. Beach High offers a Medical/Allied Health Professions program that emphasizes excellence in the biosciences. The Savannah Arts Academy, located a few minutes southeast, is a specialty public high school available by application to Chatham County students.
