Niskey Cove is a neighborhood in southwest Atlanta, Georgia, within Fulton County. The community takes its name from Niskey Lake, which is situated immediately to the north. This primarily residential neighborhood consists mainly of single-family homes off of Lake Cove Drive Southwest. Other significant roadways in the area include Niskey Lake Road Southwest, New Hope Road Southwest, Kimberly Road Southwest, and Campbelton Road Southwest. Interstate 285 runs roughly north/south within a few miles east of the neighborhood. Surrounding communities include Niskey Lake, Greenbriar Village, and Heritage Valley. Nearby Niskey Lake was the brainchild of Jay M. Niskey, a developer who wanted to create a subdivision that surrounded a lake. Five streams feed this man-made lake, which was created in the early 1920s. Today, the lake offers wildlife viewing and pedestrian trails. Several other lakes can be found within a mile or so west of Niskey Cove; these include Kings Lake and Wrights Lake.

The nearby lakes are not the only option for outdoor recreation near Niskey Cove. Residents also enjoy close proximity to Melvin Drive Park, Cascade Springs Nature Preserve, and Adams Park, among other nearby parks. The Ben Hill Park Recreation Center is also situated nearby.

Shopping is convenient for residents of Niskey Cove, with at least five retail areas situated off of nearby I-285. To the northeast are Perimeter West Shopping Center, Cascade Crossing, and Cascade Corners. Between these three areas, a Kroger, Papa John’s, Home Depot, Starbucks, and Wendy’s are offered. To the southeast are Westgate Shopping Center and the Greenbriar Mall Shopping Center. The latter offers a movie theater, Toys “R” Us, Burlington Coat Factory, Macy’s and food pavilion, as well as a long list of smaller specialty stores.
