MT Paran Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The Mt Paran area of Atlanta has two things in abundance: money and sports. Bounded by West Paces Ferry, Mt Paran Parkway, Powers Ferry Road, and a small part of Roswell Road Northeast, the community of more than 900 residences features a number of planned subdivisions where homes range in price from $600,000 to more than $3 million. They vary in style from single-story ranch homes to palatial gated estates. The Mt Paran neighborhood is also the location of the Georgia Governor’s Mansion, one of the most coveted residences in the area.
Outdoor activities are popular in the Mt Paran community. The area is often the site of numerous Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA) competitions. The nearby Chattahoochee National Recreation Area provides residents with opportunities to enjoy hiking, canoeing, fishing, or just relaxing and watching the birds. Adjacent to the Mt Paran area is Chastain Park, home of the Chastain Park Amphitheater, a 7,000-seat outdoor concert and event facility with a tennis center, swimming pool, and conservatory.
Mt Paran is also home to one of the city’s best private schools, Pace Academy. It also claims Warren T. Jackson Elementary School, one of the best public schools in the Buckhead area. A favorite pastime for area residents is turning out to watch the lacrosse match held every year between competing private schools Lovett and Westminster.
The area’s main road, West Paces Ferry, offers residents easy access to Interstates 285, 75, and 85. I-75 runs through Midtown to the upscale shopping and dining venues of Buckhead, while I-85 goes south into the heart of the city and attractions like the Georgia Aquarium and sporting venues such the Georgia Dome and Turner Field. I-285 provides residents with access to the retail and dining options in the Ashford Dunwoody area near Perimeter Mall.
