The area is reasonably well served by mass transit, and there are a number of bus stops in the region. However, equal numbers of people in this area have their own transportation. Midwest Cascade is adjacent to another famous, affluent, and prominently African-American community: Historic Collier Heights.

Shoppers living in Midwest Cascade will enjoy knowing they are only a few miles away from Greenbriar Mall, and several smaller shopping areas, including Campbellton Plaza, Perimeter West Shopping Center, and the Cascade Crossing Shopping Center. Meanwhile, sports lovers will appreciate the fact that both the Georgia Dome and Phillips Arena can be reached easily from the neighborhoods.
