Intown South Atlanta is composed of the neighborhoods that are located between the Ashview Heights to the north, the Gresham Park community on the east, and the East Point area to the south. Interstate 285 forms the western boundary of the area.

Within five miles of the community are a number of the city’s landmarks, including The Wren’s Nest Museum, once the home of Uncle Remus author Joel Chandler Harris, the Herndon Home Museum, and The Georgia Capitol. The Fox Theater, Landmark’s Midtown Art Cinema, and the Margaret Mitchell House and Museum can also be visited from Intown South either by car, or mass transit.

Residents of the Intown South Atlanta area who enjoy shopping will be pleased to know that their neighborhoods are less than a mile away from the newly renovated West End Mall, which offers a number of name brand stores, as well as several discount options. The area’s access to Interstate 285 also puts the Metro area’s other shopping locations within fairly easy reach.

For those in the community who enjoy watching the pros play, many of the neighborhoods in and around Intown South Atlanta are located within two miles of Turner Field, home of the Atlanta braves, as well as Phillips Arena and The Georgia Dome.
