Carver Hills Apartments for Rent

With its tree-lined streets and diverse mix of residential and commercial buildings, Carver Hills is unique among neighborhoods of west Atlanta. It is a small community, with a population under 1,000, and consists on only 0.370 square miles. Carver Hills is one of Atlanta’s more affordable communities.

Carver Hills is pedestrian-friendly and eco-friendly, with many residents not even owning a car. The MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) allows access to most places in the greater Atlanta region via train or bus.

Approximately 60 percent of the homes in the Carver Hills neighborhood are single-family, detached homes of varying styles, from smaller bungalows placed next to one another to larger homes with private, fenced-in yards and lawns. Apartment buildings and duplexes are also quite common.

Many families make Carver Hills their home. Parents and children alike can appreciate the many parks within walking distance of the community. Abner Place Park is located just outside the neighborhood. It’s considered to be a garden park, with less than a half-acre to its grounds, but it’s a beautiful respite for neighborhood residents. Also within walking distance is Spink-Collins Park, a massive conservation park that lies on 21 acres.

Quality public and private schools are also in the Carver Hills area. Neighborhood schools like Carson Middle School and South Atlanta High School are sources of pride for the community. Other nearby schools include Benjamin S. Carsons Honors Preparatory Academy, C. M. Pitts Elementary School, Scott Elementary School, Boyd Elementary School, and Bolton Academy.
