Farther away, downtown Clematis Street is an interesting place to shop, lunch, or enjoy an evening out. The Mall at Wellington Green is another choice for shopping. To the south, in the town of Sunrise, is the Sawgrass Mills Mall, a huge regional outlet mall with excellent prices on upscale merchandise.

Outdoor adventure at Okeeheelee Park is a three-minute drive away. A huge 1702 acres, it has facilities for team sports and solitary walks, for picnicking, and boating. A dog park complements an equestrian center. Concessions in the park rent bicycles, canoes, and kayaks. Water-skiers have a lake, and anglers have a lake and pier. Golfers have three nine-hole public courses with pro shop and driving range.

Forest Hill Village is a modest, out-of-the-way neighborhood. Its homes sit near stores and a marvelous park, close to the necessities, but also to the adventures that make life fun.
