Public schools near the neighborhood include Sealey Elementary, Raa Middle School, and Leon High School. Florida State University is less than 3 miles south-southwest of Plantation Heights near Downtown Tallahassee. To the south of Downtown is Florida A and M University. Residents of Plantation Heights can either take advantage of Downtown shopping or travel less than a half mile west to the Tallahassee Mall.
