Paremore is a wooded, kid-friendly neighborhood in Tallahassee, Florida. Outdoor recreation is in no short supply. Sport lovers will enjoy the nearby soccer complex, and shoppers are only a short drive from a shopping center.
Hawks Rise Elementary School is within walking distance of homes in the Paremore community. More than 800 pre-K through grade 5 students attend the school each year. Hawks Rise won a Blue Ribbon School Award for national excellence for 2000-2001.
The Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park is best known for the ornamental gardens that were planted in 1923. This attraction features a secret garden, reflection pool, and brick walkway. Its 1,076 acres have two short wooded nature trails that overlook Lake Hall, and five miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. Two lakes make to park useful for boating, swimming, canoeing, and fishing. Visitors also can enjoy a meal on the lakes’ shores, where grills and picnic areas are available.
The Meadows Soccer Complex hosts 10 large soccer fields, some of which are lit, a few miles south of Paremore. Soccer leagues and clinics are held at the complex. Zumba classes are available in the Zumba Fitness building adjacent to the complex.
Killearn Shopping Center offers Paremore residents shopping and dining options that are less than five miles south of home. CVS, Publix, and Radio Shack are a few of the retailers in the shopping center. Diners can choose among Kiku Aniseese Fusion, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Bonefish Grill, Hungry Howie’s Pizza, and several other eateries.
More stores are located just north of Kellearn Shopping Center, including Walgreen’s, Stein Mart, and a Sprint Store.
