The Miccosukee Hills neighborhood is located less than three miles to the northeast of Downtown Tallahassee, Florida. Situated in the heart of many medical and health facilities, Miccosukee Hills lies south of Centerville Road, west of Blair Stone Road, and north of Miccosukee Road in the 32308 zip code area of Leon County.

Surrounding the Miccosukee Hills neighborhood are Select Specialty Hospital, Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, and various other specialty medical services and private practices. Along Miccosukee Road are also vision, dental, and elderly care services. The Goodwood Museum and Gardens is located to the east of the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare buildings.

Miccosukee Hills neighbors the Betton Hills neighborhood, where residents can enjoy its various parks. McCord Park, Harriman Circle Park, and Winthrop Park are all within a mile of Miccosukee Hills. Winthrop offers various athletic fields and a playground. Harriman Circle is a nature park offering walking trails that surround a scenic pond in the middle of the park. Residents can also enjoy a walk through Governor’s Park, which is situated about a mile south of the neighborhood.

Public schools in the vicinity of Miccosukee Hills include Kate Sullivan Elementary, Cobb Middle, and Leon High School. The Leon County Public Library is a short drive to the southwest, near Downtown. Residents can take advantage of the convenient shopping and dining venues located at Governor’s Square, located about two miles south of Miccosukee Hills.

Although the area has a high concentration of health buildings and businesses, Miccosukee Hills contains many single-family residences just to the east and north of Select Specialty Hospital. Traveling north along Coombs Drive, there are also duplex-style dwellings or attached housing units. Deep within the neighborhood, Miccosukee Hills is filled with large Florida oaks and pine trees, giving the neighborhood a rural atmosphere.
