The many parks and beaches along the Gulf are top attractions to residents of Lake Tarpon Villages. Howard Park and Sand Key Park are nearby beach parks; the island parks, such as Anclote Key Preserve and Honeymoon Island, present a great diversity of wildlife and experiences.

Equestrians will be pleased to find fine facilities close by along East Lake Road South. Approximately five miles north is FireAnt Farms, with boarding facilities on 30 acres. Lessons are available. The riding trails at nearby Brooker Creek County Reserve are quite convenient as well.

Tarpon Springs, only six miles or so from Lake Tarpon Villages, provides small town charm, historic sites and architecture, performing arts and great restaurants. Within one-half hour drive south to Tampa, residents can take in a professional football or hockey game. College-bound students can choose from four universities in Tampa or the local community college, Pasco-Hernando at New Port Richey.
