The community is located in the northwest section of Gainesville. It is a part of Alachua County, and lies within zip code 32605. It is bound by 43rd Street in the east, Landmark Woods in the south, and 23rd Avenue in the north.

Many places of worship surround this neighborhood, including the Holy Faith Catholic Church and the University City Church of Christ. The historic University City Church of Christ was founded in 1897. Members originally met in each other’s homes for services and the congregation has grown over the decades to occupy their present location.
