Southeast 4th Avenue serves as its northern border. South Main Street borders Springhill to the west, while Southeast 11th Street/Highway 331 borders it to the east. Its southern border consists of several smaller streets, including Southwest Depot Avenue and Southeast 11th Avenue.
It has tree-lined streets, as well as well-kept lawns and yards. Outdoors enthusiasts and sports lovers are well suited to the neighborhood. Micanopy Ball Park is about a mile northwest of Springhill. Norman Field is around a mile and a half to its west, as is Broward Beach. Colclough Pond Park is a little over a mile to its southwest.

Several wealthier Springhill residents are members of the Gainesville Country Club, which lies only five miles southwest of the community. The picturesque club lies on the 20,000-acre Paynes Prairie State Reserve. In addition to championship golf courses, it offers on-site dining, a pool, tennis courts, a clubhouse, and special event facilities.
