Southeast 7th Avenue is the south border, Southeast 11th Street to the west, East University Avenue to the north and Southeast Hawthorne Road, Southeast 17th Street and Southeast 15th Street make up the east. North Lincoln Heights is located east of downtown Gainesville. It is mainly a residential neighborhood with some heavily wooded streets of modest single-family homes. There are sidewalks on some streets especially near the elementary school.

Fred Cone Park is located very near the North Lincoln Heights neighborhood. It has plenty of trees and open spaces. The playground has monkey bars, slides, swing sets and a jungle gym. There is also a baseball field, basketball courts, a soccer field and a multipurpose field. The Eastside Community Center is located on the edge of the Fred Cone Park. Activities are offered at the center for people of all ages from children to seniors.

Morningside Nature Center is an historic site in Gainesville near the North Lincoln Heights neighborhood. The entire family will enjoy a visit to the re-created farm where the year is circa 1870. The farm consists of an historic 1840 farm house, school house, heirloom gardens and more. There are interpreters on hand to explain everything that visitors are experiencing.

When the residents of the North Lincoln Heights neighborhood want to go grocery shopping there is a Food Lion Grocery Store on Southeast Hawthorne Road. There is also a Walmart Super Center on Northeast 12th Avenue. There are some other shops and restaurants quite close on East University Avenue. There is a McDonalds, Walgreens Pharmacy, Church’s Chicken, and Advanced Auto.
