With its walkable, tree-lined streets and close proximity to downtown, Oak Creek is a bustling community. This well-established neighborhood is bordered by a major freeway, offering residents ready access to the area’s many amenities, such as nearby parkland and busy commercial areas.

Home designs in Oak Creek tend toward ranch-style houses built in the 1950s. There are also a variety of traditional-style homes built in the 1960s, and a variety of multi-family housing units such as condominiums, town homes, and duplexes built from the 1970s to the 2000s. Oak Creek encompasses zip code 95841.

The community is bounded by Tupelo Drive and Van Maren Lane on the North, Manzanita Avenue on the east, Cypress Avenue and Auburn Boulevard on the south, and the Interstate 80 Freeway on the west. The area is primarily residential, although you will find a variety of restaurants, shops, and service establishments located throughout the community.

Of the many appealing aspects of Oak Creek is the Del Paso Regional Park, which sits just outside of the community to the southwest. This 83-acre public park features four lighted baseball fields, a sand volleyball court, playground, miles of jogging, hiking, and equestrian trails, and three golf courses. The park is also home to the Long View Oaks Natural Habitat area, which is dedicated to preserving native California oak trees.

Not too far out of the community to the east is the American River Parkway. This 23-mile-long park runs along the American River and is designated a State and National Wild and Scenic River. It encompasses 82 miles of biking and hiking trails in the parkway and 125 acres of turf.
