Vista Del Sahuaro Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Vista del Sahuaro is a nice little community on the east side of Tucson. It is bordered by East Broadway Boulevard on the north, South Prudence Road on the east, East 22nd Street on the south, and South Kolb Road on the west. Mature trees and indigenous vegetation form part of the landscape that includes barrel cactus, ironwood trees, palo verdes, and evergreens. In addition, residents can enjoy the flora at several small parks located nearby, including Jesse Owens Park, Palo Verde Park, and Stefan Gollob Park.
The neighborhood is situated a short drive from Gene C. Reid Park, as well, a large urban park that is home to Reid Park Zoo. Visitors to the small city menagerie can become acquainted with a number of interesting animals from around the world. Several types of big cats, such as the lion, tiger, and jaguar, call the zoo home. It is also the residence for a giraffe and gibbon (a small type of ape). The capybara can be found there, as well. This animal is a rodent related to the guinea pig. Other animals include an otter, white rhinoceros, tortoise, bear, flamingo, anteater, stork, tapir, macaw, warty pig, and polar bear.
Tucson’s Park Place Mall is close to the community, too. The expansive mall has a variety of shops and large department stores, such as Macy’s, Dillard’s, and Sears. It’s a good place to go to keep cool on a summer’s day when the mercury on the thermometer is resting next to numbers in the high double digits.
The area consists primarily of small brick homes that list at around $200,000 on the market. Residents like the neighborhood’s convenient location, which adds to its appeal when it comes to shopping and leisure activities, such as golf, walking, and tennis.
