On the southwest side of Tucson is the small residential neighborhood of Valencia Homesites, in the 85746 zip code south of West Valencia Road and west of South Mark Road.

The Lawrence District Park and Tucson’s Southwest Library border Valencia Homesites on its western edge. The park is a small neighborhood getaway with fields for soccer and football, and a playground with a shaded area. The park, established in 1929, has 62 miles of footpaths and trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. At the north end of the park is the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. This amazing site combines wildlife viewing, cultural displays, and botanical gardens.

Residents of Valencia Homesites shop four miles east at Valencia Road Plaza. The shopping center is south of the Pima Community College-Desert Vista Campus, which sits on 60 acres and offers diverse and affordable educational opportunities.

Area children attend Lawrence Elementary School, Hohokam Middle School, and Cholla High School.
