Tierra Santa Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The Tierra Santa Neighborhood of Tucson is in the 85750 zip code. Designed in the shape of a wave, the neighborhood is at the top of the Catalina Foothills, where the sharp ridges that form the canyons start to flatten against the mountains, which gives the tightly knitted homes a fantastic view.
The borders for the neighborhood are East Sunrise Drive to the north, connecting it to the eastern boundary of North Barrasca Drive. The southern tip of North Indian Trail marks the southern board. North Moccasin Trail rounds out the west of this trio of finger like streets.
The Ventana Canyon Golf Club is to the north. Camping and many trails for the hiking enthusiasts in Sabino Canyon are to the east. The Tucson Country Club’s golf course is to the south of the neighborhood, and the Sabino Equestrian Center is to the west, as well as shopping at the Foothills Mall.
The homes in the neighborhood developed during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The time difference is reflected in the materials used. The eastern homes bear the signature Southwest clay tiles, yet the homes built a few years later use more efficient heat-reflective tiles.
The Tierra Santa Neighborhood has no sidewalks, but there are hiking trails through the desert between the streets. The major streets do have bike lanes, but through the smaller neighborhood streets, cyclists, pedestrians, and vehicles must share the roadway not only with cars but with with the occasional member of the wildlife community.
