The Pines Apartments for Rent

The Pines is located to the northwest of downtown Tucson, Arizona along Interstate 10, and is considered to be part of the town of Marana. It is a neighborhood still in the process of development with golf as the central focus. The course itself was once simply called “The Pines,” but has since been known as Quarry Pines. The residences here in this stage of development are contemporary brick adobe medium-sized, one and two-story homes in the southwest style.

The scenic Quarry Pines is Arizona’s only “quarry course.” Ten of the original holes that made up the old “Pines” course were repositioned and redesigned to take advantage of the newly acquired abandoned sand and gravel quarry. Quarry Pines is rapidly becoming one of the Tucson area’s most popular golf courses.

Quarry Pines is in partnership with various hotels in the area. These include Best Western, Days Inn, Holiday Inn Express, La Quinta, and Super 8. Quarry Pines also has a partnership with Texas Roadhouse restaurant.

Other restaurants nearby are Lil Abner’s Steak House and the highly-rated Nana’s Kitchen Authentic Mexican Food.

Schools serving the Pines neighborhood include Coyote Trail Elementary School, Ironwood Ridge High School, and Redeemer Lutheran School.

Some other Marana area attractions include the Breakers Water Park and Sanctuary Cove. Sanctuary Cove is a garden in a desert landscape and is an all-creeds meditation facility. Visitors here can rent out the sanctuary facilities, or merely go for a quiet walk on the grounds.

The Breakers Water Park has southern Arizona’s largest wave pool in addition to various water slides, and includes a kid’s area that is quite entertaining and sizable.
