Sunrise Presidio Village Apartments for Rent

Sunrise Presidio Village is a planned community of 241 single-family homes in the Foothills near Tucson, Arizona. It’s an entirely residential neighborhood and served and represented by the the Sunrise Village Homeowners’ Association, which meets periodically in the area’s River Library.

Although there aren’t any public parks within walking distance of the Sunrise Presidio Village neighborhood, lush gardens and manicured lawns create a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere for residents. Fort Lowell Park is only two miles south of the community and home to the Fort Lowell Park Tennis Center. The George Mehl Foothills District Park is a little over two miles southwest of Sunrise Presidio Village.

Several unusual businesses are located nearby, like the Pet Cemetery of Tucson and The Green Monkey, a popular Tucson consignment shop. More well known national chains—Starbucks and Walgreens, to name two—are approximately one mile from Sunrise Presidio Village.

Residents of Sunrise Presidio Village need to be somewhat vigilant about mountain lions, which sometimes wander into the village. But other than protecting pets and maintaining awareness, residents know to simply respect the mountain lions and leave them alone. Local photographers do sometimes try to capture the big cats on film.

That potential risk does not scare families off from the community. You will see many families taking walks along the neighborhood’s tree-lined streets. The El Presidio Stables, a horse riding school, is located in close walking distance of the neighborhood, and it’s a popular destination for families as well.

The neighborhood is served by the Catalina Foothills School District. Schools near Sunrise Presidio Village include Lamb’s Gate Christian School, Sunrise Drive Elementary School, St. Gregory College Preparatory School, St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church & Preschool, Castle Hill Country Day School, and Catalina Foothills High School.
