Summer Set is a very small, picturesque, and wealthy neighborhood. Located just off North Sabino Canyon, Summer Set is north of Tucson. Set in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains, it is sometimes referred to as being part of Southeast Tucson. The Rincon Mountains are farther east.

Homes are diverse in Summer Set, ranging from estates to small homes in close proximity to one another. Home styles include Mediterranean, contemporary, and Pueblo style, as well as classic American.

The sights from many of the accommodations in Summer Set include direct views of the Catalina Mountains and Sabino Canyon. Some homes in Summer Set are more moderate in price range, and the larger, more expensive neighborhood of Sabino Vista Heights is located south to southeast of Summer Set.

Although the neighborhood of Summer Set is primarily residential, its major business, Safeguard Business Systems, brings people from all over the greater Tucson area to the neighborhood. It offers printing services of all kinds and promotional products for area businesses. The nearest major restaurants are also south of Summer Set, on East Tanque Verde Road.

Although there are no dog parks in the neighborhood, it is still dog-friendly. You will often see residents taking dogs on long walks around the neighborhood. For those who want to spread out a bit more, the Vista Del Rio Park is about a mile south of Summer Set.

Summer Set is an eco-friendly neighborhood, encouraged by many movements within the greater Tucson area to make the area greener and in sync with the land. The Plant Hugger Green Cleaning Service of Tucson is located just north of Summer Set. A land stewardship program also encourages individuals and businesses to adopt the upkeep of several community parks and public areas.
