Centrally located in the heart of Tucson, the small neighborhood of Stella Vann lies adjacent to the Davis Monthan Air Force Base, serving the community as a primary source of employment. The community is bordered on the north by East Golf Links Road and on the south by East Escalante Road. South Kolb Road serves as the eastern border of Stella Vann, while South Calle Polar is its western border.

The Stella Vann neighborhood is served by two main parks, both of which lie within the community’s borders. Vista Del Prado Park exists as a prime place for dog owners, bikers, and joggers to congregate in a safe, fun place. Escalante Park, just a few dozen feet south of Vista Del Prado Park, is the prime park for children of all ages. Of course, both parks are suitable for all visitors, but Visa Del Prado Park has superior open spaces and lengthy tracks, while Escalante Park has excellent playing areas separated for different age groups.

The extremely large Lincoln Park is also well traversed by Stella Vann residents, and it’s located just to the east of Stella Vann. Lincoln Park also hosts the Fred Enke Golf Course, well known in the area for its diversity of holes, and where each of its 18 holes requires a different set of golfing skills.

Stores in the area are especially well suited, probably because of Davis Monthan Air Force Base, adjacent to the Stella Vann neighborhood. A small grouping of stores serve Stella Vann in the southeastern side of the neighborhood, while the conglomeration of storefronts in the northeastern corner is colloquially called the Desert Square Shopping Center. Yet the best shopping opportunities are actually just outside Stella Vann neighborhood’s borders; there are a number of excellent stores within the borders of the Davis Monthan Air Force Base, just to the south and west of Stella Vann’s southwestern side.
