The community is traversed by a single street (West August Moon Place), which creates two neighborhood cul-de-sacs. A single access point on the north side means there is no through traffic in this peaceful neighborhood. Sidewalks can be found throughout this walker-friendly community. A pedestrians’ trail that crosses the north side of the community connects residents to area amenities and adjoining communities.

Residents of Sonoran Moon are just a short drive north of Tucson Mountain Park and the many natural areas that surround the west side of the city. Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts frequent these areas for camping trips, hiking excursions, and family picnics.

For those who prefer city park fun, Arthur Pack Regional Park is located a few miles to the east, on the other side of I-10. This large park offers a popular 18-hole golf course, as well as batting cages, 10 softball/baseball fields, hiking or walking trails, picnic facilities, a playground, and basketball court. Several additional public and private golfing options can be found within a short drive of this community, including the Omni Tucson National Golf Resort.

Sonoran Moon is within minutes of several popular shopping and dining options, and nearby Interstate 10 hosts an ample share of commercial establishments.
