Silver Sunset Center Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Silver Sunset Center is east of the Tucson Mountain Range and located near the intersection of North Silverbell Road and West Sunset Road, a short distance northeast of University of Arizona. It is a quiet desert community, centrally located with easy access to major freeways, namely Interstate 10 and Highways 251 and 252.
Silver Sunset Center is a relatively young neighborhood. Most of its home development took place in the 1990s. It is a family community where many of its residents work for privately owned companies. Several companies like Sierra Pacific Airlines, Inc., Rochester Midland Corporation, and Recognition Research manage high end federal contracts and provide employment to residents in the area.
Sites worth visiting in the Silver Sunset Center community include the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. According to the ASDM website, “The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a world renowned zoo, natural history museum, and botanical garden, all in one place!” Visitors will be captivated by live animals in beautiful, well-maintained, natural habitats, and by the wealth of desert flora.
Silver Sunset Center rests in the valley between the Tucson Mountain Range and Santa Catalina Mountains. Both mountain ranges are part of the vast and open desert found in the southwestern United States. Each is a distinctive segment of Saguaro National Park, Arizona. The Santa Catalinas offer great hiking, from desert in the lower elevations to alpine fields higher up, near the ski field on Mount Lemmon.
Various activities are available in Tucson, the second largest city in Arizona, with plenty of great shopping, recreation, and over forty golf courses.
