The senior high students go to Hiaki High or Southwest Alternative High School, depending upon where they live in the area. For post-secondary education, students can go to Pima Community College or the University of Arizona.

Residents looking for fun have various options to enjoy. Casino of the Sun offers a nice get-away a short distance from the neighborhood. Take a tour on horseback with Cowan Horse Adventures, or simply relax in any number of parks, including Lawrence District, Mission Ridge, or Cardinal Neighborhood Parks. The Tucson Expo Center also features interesting things mostly every weekend.

The Del Monte Shopping Center is the closest plaza to the neighborhood, while just seven miles separates the community of Sierra Sagrada from the nearest hospital, St. Mary’s.
