The neighborhood’s other annexed street and namesake, North Via Serenidad, serves as the western border, extending beyond the neighborhood’s western front.

Serenidad is in the 85718 zip code of the city of Tucson, and offers accessible bus service south of Rillito Park. The nearby Sabino, Pima, and Ventana canyons offer many recreational activities.

Serenidad is just moments away from the Oracle Shopping Plaza and the Tucson mall, the Quail Canyon Golf course to the north, as well as the Silverbell Golf Course just west of I-10.

The historic Rillito Park and Racetrack is the fabled birthplace of quarter horse racing, the horse racing sport previously dominated by thoroughbreds. Another historic contribution of the Rillito Race track is that it was the the first track to use the “photo finish,” to determine close races.
