Sagewood Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
At the first rise of the Catalina Foothills, sits the Sagewood neighborhood of Tucson, Arizona. The rows of adobe-styled homes are placed strategically for the residents to have access to an unlimited number of activities, while the neighborhood is also private enough for quiet evenings at home. Each street uses the local amenities to give the neighborhood a residential focus.
The Sagewood neighborhood boundaries are West Scots Pine Street to the north and North Pomona Road to the east; the homes along West Bitter Orange are the southern line, as the neighborhood stretches back to North Romero Road on the west. The neighborhood has also claimed the undeveloped area that holds future promise of greatness yet to come.
Just outside the neighborhood is a dizzying array of activities with the Catalina foothills and the Catalina Mountains as the backdrop. To the east are the Oracle Ridge Shopping Plaza and the Tucson Mall. Then to the west of the Sagewood neighborhood, just over the river, are the Silverbell Regional Park, the Silverbell Golf Course and the Tucson Mountain Park.
The Sagewood neighborhood, while set back from the hustle and bustle of the high traffic areas, is easily accessible. Both the major thoroughfares of West Wetmore Road on the south and North Romero Road to the west bring the residents to Interstate 10, with West Wetmore Road also being the direct route to the Oracle and Tucson Mall shopping centers.
While Sagewood neighborhood has no parks or bicycle lanes, the roadway design is considerate of both use and conservation as it is large enough to comfortably share with cyclists and have sidewalks for pedestrians, keeping the blacktop to a minimum. The use of water-conservative landscaping gives the neighborhood a distinctively clean appearance, with very little maintenance required.
