With its immaculately manicured lawns and picturesque residential streets, the neighborhood of Roberts is one of the smaller neighborhoods in Tucson. Although it is not one of the wealthiest communities in the area, it is one of the best maintained.

Roberts is bordered to the north by 29th Street East and to the south by Golf Links Road. Swan Road provides its western border, and Alvernon Way marks the end of Roberts to the east. The neighborhood is a part of Tucson’s Ward 6.

Roberts is an eco-friendly neighborhood. Bikers and pedestrians can enjoy The Aviation Bikeway that cuts through the neighborhood. Old School Recycling is just across the street from Roberts, to the east, just off Alvernon Way.

Golf Links Road is the largest road that also borders Roberts, connecting it to many of the larger, nearby neighborhoods. The nearest park, Freedom Park, can be accessed from Golf Links Road just down the street from the Roberts neighborhood.

The streets all along the Roberts neighborhood are pedestrian-friendly. You will often see local residents on jogs or walking their dogs. Sidewalks are not available on every street, but the neighbors are accommodating and friendly.

Single-family homes make up the majority of housing in the Roberts neighborhood. They dot the landscape along 31st Street, 32nd Street, South Elm Avenue, East Valentine Street, South Columbus Boulevard, and East Calle Aurora. Many of the homes in the area are valued under $100,000 and include many single-family units that were built in a 1950s housing boom. The neighborhood homes have been well-kept, and many older homes are restored to their original glory.

Roberts is primarily a residential area. The Tucson Civic League, which aids in the development of the local economy through clearly established business principles, is just northeast of Roberts.
