River Point Apartments for Rent

(hide neighborhood information)

River Point is located close to Highway 10 between Tucson Mountain Park and the Santa Catalina Mountains. It is a few miles north of University of Arizona, one of three prestigious state colleges in Arizona. River Point is primarily a college community with lots of apartments available for students who prefer to live off campus, as well as other local residents.

The University of Arizona has lots of things to see and do near the River Point community. Home of the Arizona Wildcats, U of A sporting events are exciting and team stats are worth following. Along with the ever-popular sport of football, which rivals its northern competitor, ASU Sun Devils, U of A has extremely successful basketball, baseball and swim teams, not to mention teams for sports like golf, lacrosse, ice hockey and cross country.

Students earn degrees in several fields of study. The astronomy and biological science departments are noteworthy, particularly with their participation in the development of the Mount Lemmon Observatory (located in the Santa Catalina Mountains) and Tucson Botanical Gardens. Veterinary and psychology programs are also available to students as University of Arizona.

Tucson Mountain Park and the Santa Catalina Mountains present opportunities for outdoor recreation. Tens of thousands of acres are readily available to navigate on foot, bike, horse or car. Trails range from easy to challenging, and are a few hundred meters to several miles long. Rivers and ponds are hidden deep within canyons. Picnic areas, some with grills and ramadas, are also available in designated spots.

River Point is an exciting community that changes regularly with U of A student enrollment. College living is part of its charm, as are friendly people eager to explore the world around them.
