Rinconada Hills is a very small, primarily residential neighborhood of northeast Tucson in Tanque Verde. North Gunnison Drive serves as the northern border of the Rinconada Hills neighborhood, and East Catalina Highway serves as the southern border of the community. Rinconada Hills is bordered to the west by North Harrison Road and to the east by North Sierra Madre Road and smaller, local streets.

Several regionally significant museums are within a few miles of Rinconada Hills, in easy driving distance from anywhere in the community. The Museum of the Horse Soldier is only four miles southwest of Rinconada Hills, and the Museum of the West is less than four miles southwest of it. Fort Lowell Museum, the Mark Sublette Medicine Man Gallery, and Glass Illusions are within a five-mile radius of Rinconada Hills.

Rinconada Hills is also a family-friendly community, with many highly acclaimed schools in or near the neighborhood. It is served by the Tucson Unified School District. Collier Elementary School is only a half-mile west of Rinconada Hills, within easy walking distance. Also nearby are La Petite Academy and Sabino High School, both noted for scholastic achievements of their students.

There are many other ways in which Rinconada Hills is a family-friendly community as well. There are many arts opportunities. Arizona Dance Source is a dance studio that’s just over a mile southwest of the neighborhood and serves to teach the young people of the community on the art of dance. Fred Astaire Dance Studio, Dance Force, and Academy of Ballet are also nearby dance schools.
