The Rillito Park neighborhood is located on the northwest side of Tucson. It is bordered by North Flowing Wells Road on the west, West River Road on the north, North Oracle Road to the east, and West Roger Road on the south.

The Rillito Park area, which is comprised of mobile homes as well as small stucco-framed houses, is conveniently located to shopping at the Tucson Mal. It’s also convenient to the popular Rillito River Park, where community residents can enjoy walking, horseback riding, biking, and bird watching. In addition, park visitors can savor views of the desert landscape, including blooms of plants such as marigolds and poppies. Rillito Park residents will also see familiar cactuses and succulents like barrel cactuses, sagebrush, creosote bushes, and saguaros, as well as palo verde trees.

Bird watchers in the park frequently report sightings of species such as quails, black phoebes, rock pigeons, canyon wrens, and roadrunners. Jackrabbits, coyotes, and desert cottontails are also often seen.

This middle-class neighborhood is close to town, and residents enjoy easy access to public transportation via the Sun Trans bus system. The area is also a close drive to the University of Arizona campus and city libraries and museums. The Arizona State Museum, located on beautiful green, shady lawn of the U of A campus, is a veritable showcase of Southwestern Native American culture. Visitors and residents alike can spend hours viewing its exhibits.

Close to the many amenities that Tucson has to offer, Rillito Park is an urban neighborhood close to a variety of shops and interesting activities.
