Reay Ridge Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Although quite small, the Reay Ridge community in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson is one of the richest in the city. Consisting of just a dozen or so homes, the residents of Reay Ridge have the entire neighborhood all to themselves. Although no commercial stores are within neighborhood borders, many businesses lie just outside the Reay Ridge area, including a few ethnic restaurants that are generally considered the best in the city.
The Tucson Country Club is less than a mile from Reay Ridge, and many of the residents are members. Fort Lowell Museum, where you can learn about the history of the community, is also quite close. Also nearby is Tucson Medical Center, less than two miles from the borders of Reay Ridge.
The neighborhood of Reay Ridge is not often visited by others due to its location inside a bubble of intersecting roads. This makes it somewhat more isolated than other centrally located Tucson neighborhoods.
Traffic around Reay Ridge can be a concern. The entire neighborhood is circled by relatively high-volume roads. This sometimes makes it difficult to get in and out of Reay Ridge quickly. Fortunately, the traffic here is never quite as bad as the worst parts of Tucson, and because there is usually no need for anyone to go through Reay Ridge to get to the other side, the neighborhood is deceptively quiet at its center.
