Rancho Sierra Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Tucson’s Rancho Sierra neighborhood is unique in that it’s made up of three annexed areas. The annexes, tucked into the corner between Catalina State Park and Saguaro National Park, stretch over a two-mile area in the city.
The boundaries are completely different for each of the sections, and while they are located near to each other, they are not connected. Rancho Sierra proper has the borders of East Snyder Road to the north, with the eastern line following North Houghton Road. East Prospect Lane is the southern edge, as Bonanza Avenue closes off the west. Rancho Sierra’s northern annex follows East Ocotillo Drive to the north; to the east is North Castle Ridge, with East Snyder Road to the south and Cil Primula to the west. The southern annex backs to other properties to the north, follows North Calle Estrada to the east, the southern boundary is the East Catalina Freeway, as the west rounds out at North Via De Cordoba.
Each of the sections has its own diverse flavor, yet they all share in the same local amenities. The Arizona National Golf Course is to the north just below the Catalina State Park. The Forty-Niner Country Club is to the east on the way to the Saguaro State Park, with the Madera Village for shopping to the south. For simple relaxation is the McDonald District Park to the west.
The Rancho Sierra neighborhood and its annexes have a rural feel with streets lined with mesquite trees. Tucson is a bicycle friendly city with dedicated bike lanes along East Snyder Road and the Catalina Freeway. Majestic, distant mountains provide a picturesque backdrop.
