Ranchitos Palos Verdes is a small desert community located to the northwest of downtown Tucson, Arizona, west of the Santa Catalina Mountains. “Ranchito” is Spanish for “little ranch,” and that is what Ranchitos Palos Verdes mostly consists of − small ranches. The closest major highway is Interstate 10 which is to the southwest.

At the western base of the Santa Catalina Mountains is the Hilton Houston El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort. A nine-hole golf course surrounds a hotel, condo, and resort home complex. Other facilities here include multiple pools, spa services, tennis courts, a fitness center, hiking and biking, and horseback riding. There are also four restaurants to choose from.
