Quail Canyon is a Tucson neighborhood located on the northeast side of the city of Tucson. Basking in the shade of the Santa Catalina Mountains, the community is located off North Kolb Road and southwest and west of East Snyder Road and North Sabino Canyon Road, respectively. Close to the Sabino Canyon Recreational Area, residents can visit the highest peak, Mt. Lemmon, which is also a popular ski area, by way of Mt. Lemmon Highway. Mt. Shoppers can visit such stores as American Eagle Outfitters, Sephora, and Banana Republic, just to offer a sampling.

Residents are also visited by a number of bird species regularly, such as roadrunners, hawks, eagles, and, of course, quail. Hummingbirds are numerous, too, and are drawn to such indigenous plants as the hummingbird bush, whose scarlet tubular blooms are specifically designed to attract the Lilliputian bird. Quail Canyon’s location makes it a popular neighborhood choice for winter and year-round residents alike. It’s a nice, yet affordable, community in the city of Tucson.
