Presidio Hills Apartments for Rent

Located on the ever expanding southern edge of Tucson, Presidio Hills is a suburban neighborhood carved out of the Arizona desert. Homes are densely packed in this two- block wide and three-block long development. The main road into the neighborhood is South Sorrel Lane, the last street on the western end of West Los Reales Road. Going any farther leads to open desert.

Development in Presidio Hills started in the 1980s and is ongoing. Homes are single family structures in a variety of architectural styles. Some are single level ranchers, others have two stories. All have fair sized back yards, some with pools, and access to the Presidio Hills recreation center east of the development. The streets are curved, there is little through traffic and the neighborhood is pedestrian-friendly, except perhaps during the heat of mid-day.

Miller Elementary and Maldonado Amelia Elementary Schools are both within blocks of Presidio Hills. San Miguel High is to the east. The Sonrise Baptist Church is the closest house of worship. To the north is John F Kennedy Park, offering baseball diamonds, basketball courts, a swimming pool, and picnic areas. Kennedy Lake, within the park boundaries, is regularly stocked with trout and a local fishing hole. The Cinco de Mayo Festival is held every May 5th at Kennedy Park.

Golfers can tee off at the Silverbell Golf Course to the northeast. Shoppers have their pick of the Valencia Road Mall, the Del Monte Shopping Center, and Xavier Plaza, all within a four mile radius. Prima Community College-Desert Vista Campus and the Tucson International Airport are to the east.
