There are trails in this park, as well as informative tours on everything from the plants, birds, reptiles, and even edible flora that can be found in the Sonoran Desert. The park also has a tea house and shop for visitors and people from the neighborhood, alike. Tohono Chul has been in operation for over 25 years.

Quail Canyon Golf Course is also close to this neighborhood, offering great golf holes and tennis courts to the residents.

Paseo Los Altos is also near the Santa Catalina Natural Area, and within 15 miles of Saguaro National Park, adjoining Santa Catalina. Both offer numerous hiking trails flush with beautiful desert landscape.
