Park El Monte Terrace is a moderately populated neighborhood of Flowing Wells. It lies to the northwest of Tucson. Park El Monte Terrace is bordered to the north by West Wetmore Road and to the south by West Roger Road. North Romero Road serves as the community’s western border, while North Flowing Wells Road is the eastern border of Park El Monte Terrace.
Park El Monte Terrace is a very family-friendly community. The GPD Toy Train Museum, which is a fun, hands-on museum children often enjoy, is only a half-mile southwest of the center of the neighborhood. The T Rex Museum, ideal for the young dinosaur lover, is a little over a mile east of Park El Monte Terrace. Arizona State Museum, the Tucson Museum of Art, and the Franklin Auto Museum are all within a five-mile radius of the neighborhood.
The Homer Davis Elementary School, noted for the academic achievements of its students, is located within the neighborhood of Park El Monte Terrace. Sentinel Peak High School and Flowing Wells High School are within walking distance of anywhere in the neighborhood. Other highly acclaimed schools near the community include Academy Adventures Primary School, the Academy of Math & Science, and Centennial Elementary School.
Many of the more well-to-do Park El Monte Terrace residents are members of the El Rio Country Club, located to the south of the neighborhood. It used to be the only private golf club in all of Tucson. It offers sprawling golf courses, and it holds so much of the history of Tucson golfing that it has a Wall of Flame on-site. Many residents also enjoy the nearby Tucson Racket & Swim Club.
