One of the more significant features of Papagoville, besides its easy access to the interstate, is its proximity to area parkland. Within a few minutes of the neighborhood, on the other side of I-10, are Sentinel Peak Park and Santa Cruz River Park. Among the amenities offered at Santa Cruz are equestrian access, hiking and bicycling, exercise stations, wildlife viewing, a playground, and restroom facilities. Sentinel Peak Park also offers great opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing, as well as picturesque views of southern Tucson. It’s a great place to bring the family for a picnic or take a date to watch the sunset. People even visit the park to fly remote-control aircraft.

Farther southwest is yet another large park, John F. Kennedy Park. A handful of smaller parks surround the Papagoville community to the east. A Papaogoville resident never has a reason to complain about a lack of outdoor recreation.

Residents who have served our country enjoy proximity to the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System, located within a few minutes to the south, just beyond the I-10/I-19 fork.

The Pueblo Plaza Shopping Center is situated within a few miles to the east of the neighborhood. Only a short drive to the north is the Fox Tucson Theatre, the Pima County Courthouse, the Tucson Convention Center, and the sprawling University of Arizona campus.
