The small community of Las Lomas De Catalina consists of three short roads near the center of the Catalina Foothills. Bordered on the north and east sides by Cer Del Charro, on the west and south by East Cer Del Cazador, and bridged between by the tiny North La Callecita, Las Lomas De Catalina has fewer than a couple dozen homes within its community.

The fully residential area that consists of Las Lomas De Catalina is upper-middle class in its makeup, and most homes have such amenities as a full-size backyard pool. The entire neighborhood juts out from North Valley View Road, which itself lies between the larger thoroughfares of North Pontatoc Road and North Swan Road, although North Valley View Road never truly crosses North Swan Road, but instead leads to East Sunrise Drive quite a way north of Las Lomas De Catalina, and only through East Sunrise Drive is North Swan Road crossed.

Many Las Lomas De Catalina residents take North Valley View Road north to the corner of East Sunrise Drive and North Swan Road to shop at the Bel Air Plaza Shopping Center. Others prefer the longer drive south via North Potomac Road to the stores at the edge of Tucson.

Yet perhaps what is most of interest to residents of Las Lomas De Catalina are the Santa Catalina Mountains, just north of the neighborhood by less than a couple of miles. The Catalina State Park, Santa Catalina Natural Area, and other locales within the borders of the Santa Catalina Mountains are stunningly beautiful natural monuments that every Las Lomas De Catalina resident must visit regularly, or risk missing out on the best that their location has to offer.
