The Hedrick Acres Neighborhood is located in the sun-splashed heart of Tucson, a pleasant throwback to traditional community neighborhoods and a friendly contrast to the hustle and bustle of downtown. Located just a couple miles from the University of Arizona, the area is bounded by First Avenue on the west, Glenn Street on the south, Campbell Avenue on the east, and Fort Lowell Road on the north.

The residential area is cradled between the two thoroughfares of commerce, First and Campbell, putting everything easily within walking or biking distance. Just a few miles north of Hedrick runs the Rillito River, usually a large dry wash, but edged with 15 miles of biking and walking paths and fabulous views of the Santa Catalina Mountains. This is also a Mecca for dog-walkers and horseback riders.

SunTran, the municipal bus system in Tucson, serves the area via several routes, and CatTran, the shuttle system of the University of Arizona, runs directly down Mountain Avenue in the center of Hedrick Acres.
